Xbox 720 Release Date
With so much speculation as to when the Xbox 720 release date is going to be, or even if it is indeed going to be called the Xbox 720, it’s hard to get a clear answer online. Microsoft has been tight lipped about any future hardware releases and says that they feel that the Xbox 360 is at a price point consumers are willing to pay, versus a new $400 box. Obviously the longer the run between new consoles, the bigger their profits. Released in November 2005 in the United States and Canada, the Xbox 360 is almost 6 years on the market. Though Microsoft has not given away too much about any new consoles, just wait until Sony and Nintendo announce their production of new hardware and you’ll start to see some real movement.
There is no definitive Xbox 720 release date. However, many have based their expectations off of other video game system releases. For instance PS4, if staying true to the every 6 year release of new consoles, is due out in late 2012. Nintendo’s new system is also to be released sometime in 2012. If Microsoft plans to stay with the competition, they better open up a bit about future plans for the Xbox.
